Last Week at JPII - 11/24/25
2nd - 6th had a special guest presenter this week - Meteorologist (and local celebrity) Jim Flowers!
November 24, 2025 - It’s been busy at St. John Paul II Academy! Here’s a look back at some of the highlights from last week, capturing the heart of life at JPII.
This was Mr. Flowers’ first public speaking event in over a decade, and he gave an engaging and informative presentation on weather and meteorology. As he was leaving the school, heshared with faculty how impressed he was, both with our students and with the questions that they asked.
We had a great Parent Experience Night! JPII Parents and guests enjoyed a relaxed evening and a taste of what their students are learning in the classroom - Crosshatching (Art) with Miss Simons, Shakespearean Sonnets with Mr. Fletcher, and Immersion Latin with Mr. Mellender and Miss Mellender.
At our annual Faculty-Student Volleyball game, players were cheered on by students from across all grades, while the 5th and 6th grade boys emceed. The 8th graders won the tournament!
And inside the classroom this week: 1st graders practicing their phonics with Miss Potter, and the high school girls get a special lesson on oil painting from Miss Simons!
Hope you enjoyed this week in the life of JPII. Stay tuned for more glimpses in and out of the classroom as we continue to form saints, fully alive!
