Under the wings of the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME), middle and high school teams gain real-world experience in choosing, researching, and presenting on a project related to the field of engineering.
Recent News
April 2026 - JPII’s Middle School Engineering Club participated in the 2026 Army Corps of Engineers SAME Competition at UNO’s Scott Conference Center. They earned an Award of Distinction, placing 3rd out of 16 teams.
Their project was a redesign of the JPII Academy campus to include more classrooms, a bigger gym, and more green space. The proposal was well-researched and designed, and students impressed with their confidence and communication during their presentation before the panel of judges.
