Last Week at JPII - 11/17/25
1st & 2nd grade took a field trip to the Kiewit Luminarium with week.
November 17, 2025 - It’s been busy at St. John Paul II Academy! Here’s a look back at some of the highlights from last week, capturing the heart of life at JPII.
On Veterans’ Day, students enjoyed a visit from St. Matthew’s Deacon Deall, who shared facts and stories about his time in the military. Students also enjoyed a visit from JPII parents John and Lindsay Jaszkowiak, who shared about their time at the Air Force Academy. Thank you to all our veterans for their service to our country!
In High School, the Sacred Scripture class honed their rhetorical skill with presentations on the various parts of the Tabernacle of the Israelites, including the kinds of priests, the Tent Temple, and the Ark of the Covenant.
The 1st and 2nd grade class had an incredible experience at the Luminarium this week. This trip was an opportunity for students to explore and engage with engineering and physics in a hands-on way.
A peek inside the 5th & 6th classroom - Fr. Boyd made a classroom visit this week, and as part of their science unit on weather, students measured and recorded wind speed, precipitation, temperature, cloud conditions, and leaf fall.
Miss Mellender and Miss Simons completed their Level 1 training for Catechesis of the Good Shepherd last weekend! And the giant leaf pile in the schoolyard has been seeing some action, courtesy of the lower school.
Hope you enjoyed this week in the life of JPII. Stay tuned for more glimpses in and out of the classroom as we continue to form saints, fully alive!
