Last Week at JPII - 09/08/25

Non Nobis, Nomine Domine! We closed out the week with our thrilling Hall Sorting & Games. Scroll down for more pictures!

September 1, 2025 - It’s been busy at St. John Paul II Academy! Here’s a look back at some of the highlights from last week, capturing the heart of life at JPII.

On the right, lower school girls enjoy some schoolyard games. On the left, Mr. Mellender teaches the 3rd & 4th grade about properly raising and lowering the American flag. At JPII, students are tasked with the care of the flag at the beginning and end of the school day.

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) began this week. CGS is a Montessori-based approach to Catechesis, designed for the child to foster both a relationship with and enjoyment of God. JPII offers CGS through 2nd grade and has a Level 1 Atrium for Kindergarteners and a Level 2 Atrium for 1st & 2nd graders.

And now for the highlight of the week: new students and faculty were sorted into one of our three Halls (Kolbe, Frassati, or Thérèse) and the halls competed for hall points in events such as flag football, a cartwheel races, and tarp chariot races! See a few more pictures at www.jpomaha.org/gallery/sorting-25

Hope you enjoyed this week in the life of JPII. Stay tuned for more glimpses in and out of the classroom as we continue to form saints, fully alive!
