Last Week at JPII - 09/15/25

“Apples!” Great times were had at the Vasko Farm on Saturday. See more pictures of the fun at www.jpomaha.org/gallery/cookout-25

September 15, 2025 - It’s been busy at St. John Paul II Academy! Here’s a look back at some of the highlights from last week, capturing the heart of life at JPII.

On Monday, September 8, students and faculty celebrated the birthday of Our Lady with a cupcake rosary and a sung “Happy Birthday” with a little spontaneous harmonization. Special thanks to Brenda Zierke for setting up the sweet treats to help make the day special!

1st and 2nd grade did an art study of Van Gogh’s sunflowers in chalk pastel. What a gift to watch these students practice their skills and hone their eye for beauty!

Sometimes literature classes are a little more hands on than you’d think… 5th & 6th grade act out sections of their literature book as they read aloud together.

On the left, freshmen and sophomores engage with Sacred Scripture through a study of Genesis in theology class. On the right, Juniors and Seniors prepare beautiful artwork to be displayed and sold at this year’s Festival.

Hope you enjoyed this week in the life of JPII. Stay tuned for more glimpses in and out of the classroom as we continue to form saints, fully alive!
