Last Week at JPII - 04/27/26
Congratulations to the cast and crew of JPII’s spring play, Pride & Prejudice! Raucous laughter and booming applause filled the auditorium both nights of the show.
April 27, 2026 - It’s been busy at St. John Paul II Academy! Here’s a look back at some of the highlights from last week, capturing the heart of life at JPII.
Thank you to everyone who came out to support our talented Griffins. From Lizzie’s brilliant wit to Mr. Collins’ hilarious antics; from Lydia’s girlish flirting to Mrs. Bennet’s over-the-top sobs; from our handcrafted set to the incredible work of the entire cast and crew - this was Austen at its finest.
This week, we celebrated the birthday of St. Frassati with lots of high-energy hall games. As part of the Frassati feast day, and in the Frassati spirit, the 8th grade girls helped put together blessing bags to give to the homeless.
1st grade has been learning so much! From carrying numbers in addition to spelling complicated words like (like “Constantinople”) with word tiles, these students have been working diligently and making amazing progress.
There were also several zoo trips this week across the grades. 1st-4th took a combined Leadership excursion, and the middle school girls enjoyed their own adventures as well.
Mrs. Fletcher visited classrooms for an afternoon and put together a brief video showcasing what the various grades were up to. You can watch it here. Share with your friends and family who might want a glimpse at the school!
Hope you enjoyed this week in the life of JPII. Stay tuned for more glimpses in and out of the classroom as we continue to form saints, fully alive!
