Last Week at JPII - 04/20/26

A look behind the scenes at Theatre practice… Lydia (played by Addie D.) informs her mother (played by Aileen B.) that she has been invited to follow the regiment to Brighton by the colonel’s wife… but is that the only reason Lydia is excited to go?

April 20, 2026 - It’s been busy at St. John Paul II Academy! Here’s a look back at some of the highlights from last week, capturing the heart of life at JPII.

Boys Leadership took advantage of the sunshine to play with fire! Sort of… Under close supervision of Mr. Fletcher and Mr. Mellender, they used magnifying glasses to focus sunlight and burn holes into paper. And St. Faustina, St. Agnes of Rome, and St. Elizabeth of Hungary made guest appearances in Girls Leadership, sharing their lives and some gifts with the students.

A glimpse into Kindergarten this week - Exploring a bird’s nest with Ms. Daskiewicz, getting interviewed by the Yearbook Club, show-and-tell in front of the whole class, and the Liturgy of Light in Level 1 CGS - a profound and joyful celebration of Easter in the Atrium.

And a few final shots from this week - 3rd and 4th super focused in science class, a 1st grader shows off her art project, and Dr. Fletcher playing “Pig” with the Kindergarteners during recess.
