Last Week at JPII - 04/13/26

Kindergarten took a trip to the Henry Doorly Zoo this week, especially enjoying the Aquarium and Jungle exhibits.

April 13, 2026 - It’s been busy at St. John Paul II Academy! Here’s a look back at some of the highlights from last week, capturing the heart of life at JPII.

What. A. Night. Trivia Night was a huge success! We hosted a crowd of over 300 people, all featuring amazing costumes, delicious food, and joyful camaraderie.

We also debuted a new video showcasing the impact of our low-tech learning environment.

Paired with an education rooted in Classical and Catholic traditions, the school culture forms confident and joyful young men and women, prepared for this world and for the next.

This new video echoes the themes in our recent document “Restoring the Human to our Children’s Education.”

The Upper School has been diligently preparing for their upcoming production of Jane Austen’s “Pride and Prejudice.” There will be two performances held on April 22 and 23 - tickets will be sold at the door. To learn more, see more photos, and watch the trailer, click here.

Stormy days mean indoor recess, but that doesn’t mean students miss out on having fun! 3rd and 4th organized card games, and Kindergarten played parachute games in the gym.

1st and 2nd grade math had their own version of an egg hunt in the Mary Garden, but with geometric shapes.

Hope you enjoyed this week in the life of JPII. Stay tuned for more glimpses in and out of the classroom as we continue to form saints, fully alive!
