Last Week at JPII - 04/04/26
“We adore you, O Christ, and we praise you! Because by your holy cross you have redeemed the world.”
April 4, 2026 - It’s been busy at St. John Paul II Academy! Here’s a look back at some of the highlights from last week, capturing the heart of life at JPII.
Despite only having three days of school (thanks to Easter Break), this week has been filled with learning and prayer. The Passion of Christ was especially present on our students’ minds.
On Tuesday of Holy Week, Boys & Girls Leadership took a trip with the 7th & 8th grade girls to the Cloisters on the Platte to pray the Stations of the Cross.
In Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, Level 1 and Level 2 children meditated with the models of the City of Jerusalem and the Cenacle (Last Supper) during the final weeks of Lent. Pictured below is a Level 1 child with the Level 1 Cenacle (Upper Room) materials.
In 1st grade math, students have been tracking the growth of daffodils using centimeters - and this week, it turned into measuring everything from rocks to moving pill bugs.
Hope you enjoyed this week in the life of JPII. Stay tuned for more glimpses in and out of the classroom as we continue to form saints, fully alive!
