Last Week at JPII - 10/27/25

7th grade girls cheer on 8th graders during the Faculty-Student soccer game on The Feast of St. John Paul II.

October 27, 2025 - It’s been busy at St. John Paul II Academy! Here’s a look back at some of the highlights from last week, capturing the heart of life at JPII.

Celebrating Catholic-style! Students’ voices filled the church with joyful singing during Mass, and then led a Eucharistic procession across campus grounds as part of festivities for the feast of St. John Paul II.

After a delicious lunch, students shared poetry recitations and musical performances for guests. They then headed over to the soccer field for exhilarating games including three-way soccer between the three halls, Braveheart, and the highly competitive annual Faculty-8th grade soccer game, which ended in a 1-1 tie.

As for the rest of the week… In Girls’ Leadership, Mrs. Zierke taught a nutrition class. In Boys’ Leadership, students learned how check the oil and tire pressure on a car.

On the left, a little pile-up during a recess football game. In the center, 3rd & 4th enjoys a free reading period. On the right, a 1st grader sports a grasshopper that decided to visit his shoulder!

The Volleyball Season has ended on a high note! The 6th & 7th Griffins won 1st in their championship, and the 8th grade team took 2nd in both their championship and division. These ladies showed incredible sportsmanship and grit on and off the court - we are so proud of them! Verso l’Alto!

Hope you enjoyed this week in the life of JPII. Stay tuned for more glimpses in and out of the classroom as we continue to form saints, fully alive!
