Last Week at JPII - 05/25/26
The 8th grade Class of 2026 is ready to take on high school! We are so proud of these young men and women, and can’t wait to watch them flourish in high school.
May 25, 2026 - It’s been busy at St. John Paul II Academy! Here’s a look back at some of the highlights from last week, capturing the heart of life at JPII.
Congratulations to our inaugural High School Class of 2026! Grace and Lilly will be missed, but Benedictine College and UNO are surely blessed to have them as part of the incoming Class of 2030. See more graduation photos & watch the video recap!
Field Day was a day to remember! Water balloons, human battleship, obstacle courses, and more made for a great way to end theschool year. Congratulations to Kolbe Hall on securing the highly coveted Griffin cup, and to Thérèse Hall on scoring the most Hall Points for the whole school year. See more photos of the fun here.
1st & 2nd grade has had a great end to the school year. Last week, students covered Marco Polo with Mrs. Brockhaus, and celebrated all thephonics they have learned throughout the year with Ms. Potter.
Kindergarten finishing up the school year with a little reading and writing. And in the last photo, students are demonstrating the “Montessori Waiting Hand” - a technique they’ve learned throughout the year to get their teachers’ attention without disrupting the work of another student.
Upper school took advantage of the lovely weather to eat lunch and study for final exams outside.
Hope you enjoyed this week in the life of JPII. We’ll be back in the 2026-27 school year with more glimpses in and out of the classroom! Have a great summer.
